Hi, my name is Peter De Tender. Welcome to my personal blog space.
You probably found me through one of my LinkedIn posts, conference sessions or online training videos, related to Microsoft DevOps solutions or broader Azure and Microsoft cloud technology topics.
About Peter
Peter is a Senior Content Developer for AI/Dev/DevOps at Microsoft Redmond, with - you could guess - a focus on everything DevOps. In my day-to-day role, I create content for Microsoft Learn and Microsoft AI Skills Navigator
Peter has an extensive background in architecting, deploying, managing and training on Microsoft technologies, dating back to Windows NT4 Server in 1996, all the way to the latest and modern Azure and AI solutions available today. With a passion for Cloud Architecture and DevOps, Peter always has a story to share on how to optimize your Enterprise-ready cloud workloads, from skilling the world largest Microsoft customers through compelling workshops over the last 15 years. After 7 years at Microsoft as Microsoft Technical Trainer, he recently transitioned into the role of Senior Content Developer for Dev/AI/DevOps, focusing on Microsoft DevOps solutions content on Microsoft Learn, Microsoft AI Skills Navigator and Instructor Led Training (ILT) material, used by +20,000 global Microsoft Certified Trainers (MCTs) and Training Services Partners.

I am a Microsoft Certified Trainer since 2010 (officially, but trained already before).
I was recognized as a Microsoft MVP (Most Valuable Professional) since 2013, initially in Windows IT Pro, but switched to Azure from 2015-2019, until I joined Microsoft as a full-time employee.
Since 2011, I am the chairman for EMEA of the IAMCT (International Association of Microsoft Certified Trainers), a global community of MCT’s, outside of Microsoft Learning.
I’m married for almost 27 years with my loving wife Els, and am the proud father of 2 wonderful girls and a cat.
